An Introduction to Astrology

Course Description

Have you ever wondered how an astrologer creates a horoscope?  Are you curious?  You will learn about the Planets, how an Astrologer interprets the patterns of the Planets in our solar system, as mirrored in our birth charts, the planetary Cycles and planetary elements, the significance of number, the Zodiac (the division of the ecliptic into zodiacal signs as used by the Babylonians and Greeks),  a study of the 12 astrological signs and the areas of life in which the planets are located.  We will finish with a brief overview of how an Astrologer puts all this together to create a horoscope or birth chart as it’s known.

  1.  Introduction and a detailed look at the Function of the Planets (Lessons 1 and 2)
  2. The Aspects between planets, Planetary cycles, the function of number (Lessons 3 & 4)
  3. The Zodiac (Lesson 5)
  4. The Twelve Signs (Lessons 6 and 7)
  5. The Houses/Areas of Life and a brief overview of putting it all together (Lesson 8)

Participants will be working with their own birth charts, so please provide date, place and as accurate a time of birth as possible.   A booklet will be provided to each participant with all the material we will be covering.  Visual aids will also be used to make the sessions an enjoyable and interactive learning experience.  Please bring some writing materials and an open/enquiring mind!


A minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8 persons is required for this course to take place..

Biography

Penny Steffen came to Luxembourg 30 years ago with the British Diplomatic Service – she worked in the British Embassy, in private banking and corporate law.  In 1993 Penny took a career break and studied with the Faculty of Astrological Studies in London.  She worked as a professional Astrologer from 1998 to 2002, before being lured back to the business world.  Although she still has some private clients, her focus is now on astrological research/writing and she is keen to share her knowledge/experience and maybe also inspire others to learn more about this ancient art
